This policy explains what personal data artofthecode.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Art of The Code is a web design and development studio run by Djaner Bekir in North Macedonia. Djaner Bekir is responsible for the personal data described here (the "controller"). For anything about your data, email djaner.bekir@artofthecode.com.
What we collect
When you send the booking form: your name, email address, and, if you add them, your phone number, business type, budget range, preferred call date and time of day, and the message you write. We use this only to reply to you, arrange a call and prepare a proposal.
When you browse: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running. The contact form also uses your IP address for up to one hour to limit spam.
Analytics, only if you accept: Google Analytics 4 records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country and city), their device and browser, and how they reached the site. It uses cookies and a random ID, not your name or email. Google Analytics 4 doesn't store IP addresses. See the Cookie Policy.
We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or add you to a newsletter.
Why we may use it (legal basis)
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal: steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the site secure and free of spam: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Who helps us process it
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Resend delivers the booking form to our inbox by email.
- Google Calendar, if you book a call through the calendar on the Contact page: Google receives the details you enter there.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited), only after you accept analytics. Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to talk with you and, if we work together, for the project and any legal or accounting obligations. Ask us at any time and we will delete your enquiry.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email us and we will reply within one month.
If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. In North Macedonia that is the Personal Data Protection Agency.
Children
This website is not intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
